SAA Press Release: Call Report
Southbury Ambulance Association responded to 891 calls in the 3rd quarter of 2024 and to 2,464 ytd. The top categories for 9-1-1- requests were for general sickness, falls, and medical concerns. Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport with a Paramedic was provided 36 %; Basic Life Support (BLS) with an EMT crew 41 %; and no transport was provided 23 %. Crews respond within 2- 3 minutes of their notification with an average on-scene time under 13 minutes. Pictured is A3, the newest addition to the SAA fleet. Essential to EMS service is readiness to respond. This requires sufficient ambulances to respond to multiple calls and in addition to allow downtime for required maintenance and repairs.
