SAA 2025 Call Report
In 2025, 4,240 9-1-1 calls were received and dispatched. YTD 2025, approximately 70% of the calls responded to were for falls, general sickness, heart, and respiratory concerns. Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport with a Paramedic was provided 27%; Basic Life Support (BLS) with an EMT crew 48%; no transport was provided 20%; and mutual aid was needed for 5% of calls. Crews responded on average within 2 minutes of their notification having an on-scene time averaging 11-12 minutes.
The SAA Board of Directors consists of volunteers from the community. They are devoted to providing the absolute best medical emergency care and transport to those in need. They successfully manage round-the-clock crew coverage with professional and compassionate volunteer/paid EMTs and Paramedics at two locations in Southbury.
