Southbury Ambulance Receives Grant Money for New Equipment
SOUTHBURY — The Southbury Ambulance Association applied for and was awarded ARPA grant monies to be used for products and services to benefit the Southbury community as an eligible nonprofit.
SAA used the funds to buy three new stair chairs, which facilitate transport down stairways and in difficult areas; three AEDs (automated external defibrillator), utilized in sudden cardiac events; and a handheld video laryngoscope.
All equipment will be put into service for use on emergency medical calls.
