Jewish Federation of Western CT Grant Awarded to SAA
Through the generosity of the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut’s grant program, Southbury Ambulance Association (SAA) received funds that were applied 100% to the purchase of essential EMS equipment, specifically a Portable Suction Unit (clears the upper airway); a Combi-Carrier (scoop stretcher and extrication board), and a Seever Canvas Stretcher (essential for movement of patient in difficult spots i.e. stairways, tight spots and cornering). As a not for profit, certified by the State of CT, emergency medical ambulance service, Southbury Ambulance depends on well-equipped ambulances with up-to-date equipment imperative for providing high-quality emergency medical care. This grant received from the Jewish Federation, https://www.jfed.net/, supports our mission. SAA is extremely appreciative as grants and community donations assist in our commitment to serving the people of Southbury.
